Aluminum clad steel wire strand is high carbon and extremely high tensile wire. It is lightweight and corrosion resistant. Our aluminum clad steel wire comes with about 20% aluminum clad, making it extremely weather resistant as well as providing a very high level of conductivity. This type of wire is often used in overhead conductors, such as power transmission lines, as well as in formed wire and optical ground wire applications.

In the secondary market we have also seen our customers repurpose this material for the fishing industry.
